Finally got the new season started today. Got a late start but with the temps still holding at -5 at 10 am it made more sense to make sure i had everything in place before we headed out. Got to Carry bay around 1130 and made our way out giving the culvert plenty of room as I had read the ice was a bit skinny . found the ice to be 5-6 inches thick with only one real wet pocket of slush. Fish were a bit finicky , had to really pound the jig to get them interested. Used mostly demons and caty jigs with a little atoms wedgie plastic and a spike or two. It was pretty slow overall. Ended up with a couple dozen, mostly gills with a few seeds and two bass. got back to truck at 3. Its a start, better days are coming.

Glad you found a few. I have been stuck on perch since they are biting but am just itching to get out for the flats. Some of the better spots should be fishable now. I just have to run out of the perch to give the flats a chance and it hasn't happened...yet. ;D
