Steve (St Albans Bay bait shop) is paying $0.75 for LARGE perch and is NOT buying small perch. Seems the Canadian market has all the perch it needs and won't be taking many this year. Sunnie/Bluegill prices are normal . There may be a lot more Bluegill fisherman this winter due to the low perch prices.

It is too bad they can't cultivate some different markets. I understand the great lakes seining filled the market and created the problem.

Seining is a terrible practice for harvesting! Glad that Champlain doesn't have seining seasons anymore!
