And I really do mean on the surface. I was fishing yesterday evening in 8 FOW over some weeds. I saw what looked like a weed on the surface, then saw it disappear, then it came back again ... I paddled closer and could see that it was a school of sunnies just a foot or so below the surface. They would just idle up to the surface and leave their back fin out of the water, just hang there - not chasing anything - then they'd sink back down. Here's a pic of one. Never saw anything like that before. gofish

Interesting... Maybe they were dehydrated! You catch any or were they inactive?

I only had 4 inch tubes and senkos, I plan to go back with some Baby SHad and jigs tomorrow....when it isn't so damn hot.

It's been brutal. I've been in chest waders most of the week. It will bee nice to have a break today... Kayak and bass time.

Went back last night, none on the surface but I could see them hanging out in the weeds and they weren't even a little bit interested in my jigs.
