Tried something different today. I used a small jig under a 5" pencil bobber. The jig wasn't heavy enough to pull the bobber upright, the bobber just laid flat on the surface. When the bobber went vertical, there was a fish underneath. Caught these two sunnies like that. gofish

When I am catching shiners for bait that is how I do it. Very effective and great for kids. Visually it is easier to see and explain. Helps them catch more. Works wonders for my cousins.
