Tried a different location today, found some smallies over a rocky bottom. Fished a Bobby Garland below a bobber , favorite color was "Baby Bass ". Not real big but a lot of fun. gofish

Nice fish! I'm going out Wednesday for smallies. Did you find them shallow on beds? I found a lot of beds my last trip out... Makes me wonder if they spawned early as well. I heard some bass were all spawned out back in March when we had that warm water right after ice out (or while there was still ice)

I was fishing 10-12 FOW over very rocky bottom, no beds in sight. Had the jig about 3 ft down, smallies were just making the bobber disappear...no little tap-tap or a little wiggle , the bobber just went under.
