I use two books religiously when looking to learn about a pond, lake or stream here in NH whether I’m fishing ice or open water. The one is Clark’s New Hampshire Fishing Guide & the other is New Hampshire Fishing Guide. Clark’s has black white text with maps but not highly detailed with depth maps. It basically give a good run down of access, type of water warm or cold, weeds, what fish are in the pond, main depth, directions & a little personal insight to the body of water. AWESOME book for getting to know bodies of water to fish!!! The other book NHFG has basically some what the same information but has a much better depth map. Only problem is the lakes, pond and streams are very selective. Clarks covers 2X or even 3X the amount of bodies of water. While searching online I found a book called Fishing Vermont's Streams & Lakes. Is this a good book to use to guide someone looking to find bodies of water with the info that I decribed Clark’s has? I know from checking in the past that Vermont has the Fishing Maps & Charts to narrow down any search for a certain fish species in a body of water. So is are there any books I can use for Vermont or is my best bet to use the Fishing Maps & Guide along with the Depth Charts of Vermont Lakes & Ponds? Thanks for any help
