Well the 2012 crow season isn't far away now. I've been seeing a lot of them here in NH and been messing with a bunch using the FoxPro ;D I've got to place and order for a few new toys next week so I know that they will be here in time to drop those black bandits. This year I'm going to be adding two new decoys to my decoy bag plus loading up the FoxPro with custom sound pack of Bob Aronsohn crow calling sounds. The new decoys will be the Buster II – The Ultimate Motion Decoy and the Crow Assault system in the Youtube link. It should be a good year with bare ground to hunt on Who else will be hunting them?

Sounds good to me. There's nothing better than busting crows.

Well they hurt turkey hunting in other ways too Crows ranks right up there in the list of predators that like to feed on turkey poults and clutches. Raven, crows, skunks, possums, coyotes, fox and snakes love to raid nest looking for an easy snack. Then whoever survives the nest raids still are not in the clear. The aerial attacks from hawks, owls, crows, ravens and even eagles will test their survival for at least the first year. Last year a hunting buddy of mine saw a few crows attacking something out in a field behind his house. After getting a lens on the action, it turned out to be a hen that had poults they were tearing up. By the time he ran out and scared them off, the damage to the turkey was already done and she was dead. For the next week or so he noticed two things behind his house and in his neighbor’s field, the numbers of crows and clutch of poult numbers slowly disappearing.
