Its my first year with a hard side and just was wondering with this weather if I should be moving it to a " fresh" spot with virgin ice or am I OK to leave it in the same spot all season. There's plenty of ice under it. Just over thinking it I'm sure. Any thoughts??

I would just keep an eye on the situation, I got a feeling a lot of hardsides will be coming off the ice sooner than later, warm weather coming, our hardwater days are limited I think, hope not!

I like to move it a few feet every trip even on good ice. Have had issues with the shanty sinking down into the ice. Blocking it up didn't seem to help either... Being painted black doesn't help!

Yeah I've spent hours chopping out my shanty of ice. Last year, even with moving it every trip, the 6" blocks melted down and about 5" of the shack until it was completely locked up in one week. It was such a pain to get out. The slush played a big role with that though.
