Spent the nite with the 2 boys in the shanty on Friday fished dawn to dusk. Both of them got there first pike. The one Tyler got spooled me never flagged. I had tightened up the flag for a big bait and it pulled the shaft up during the day. Totally my fault but we still got the fish and released it healthy.

Nice I spent the morning selling Kayla Scout TC and sold a heater now I think I will post a little buddy heater for sale so I can buy Kayla a new cover for Her New Clam Pro TC and make a bracket for her new heater too. I hope she likes it gosh she is spoiled yeah and Ace had the cover thanks Dale appreciate it

Only 5 above here, not leaving the house today. went thru all my jig boxes and reorganized, wow do they ever get mixed up thru the course of the season.

Fishin sucked today, only caught about 10 perch in about 8 hours. Tried everything from minnows and spikes to maki's, but nothing worked all day...

Its one of those days. Can't sleep knowing that I've got a bucket of smelt ready to catch some lakers in the shanty. I guess I'm wasting time siting here drinking coffee! Should be set up by 4:15 for the mornning run... I guess the fishing has been slow this year but I hope they're wrong!

No that's what the big perch there always have in them. That one was puked up. If you can jig up or buy the crayfish you catch perch like that!

I would get up at 2:00am to be set up by 4:15am to catch lakers, I haven't caught lakers since my first year ice fishing Lake Champlain 7 years ago. Went out for them last year but sounds like we were not out early enough.

I would get up at 2:00am to be set up by 4:15am to catch lakers, I haven't caught lakers since my first year ice fishing Lake Champlain 7 years ago. Went out for them last year but sounds like we were not out early enough. The fishing on the lake I was on is a bit backwards. In general the bite is primarily in the dark. I usually only fish in the morning before its light and head home by 10 but we stuck it out for the full day. 90% of the day was unproductive. I think next time ill head up in the evening fish through till morning and go home! |
