Hey guys, I am new to the sport and I would like to invest in my first vexilar. A fl-8 or 12 would be great. Anything in the $200 range would be awesome. Anything lower would also be awesome.

I think they all are user friendly.I ended up with the fl20 only because I found a ridiculously good deal on it. Get what you can afford. You'll be happy with it regardless. Once ya use one , you will never go without it.

depends on what you fish for I guess. If you mostly fish shallow water 1-20 fow you should be fine with an 8. If you fish deep water the zoom feature on the 18 and up would be beneficial. Good Luck!
