Even his brother and I went for a hike in the Adirondaks today and smashed the Crappies using the new HT tungsten (red jewel) tipped with Bubble gum and Glow Jamei's from Maki Plastic, 15-20 feet down in 32-36 fow. they were chasing a school of shiners around, you would see the ball of bait come thrue on the Vexilar and drop down a foot below wherever the the bait was hanging and they would just appear.......Awesome. We even kept a dozen or so for dinner.
