I got mine yesterday and noticed that the smell really plasticy, those of you that use them, do you spray them with an attractant or doesn it not matter?

Jamie was showing me some he got handed to him directly from Maki himself and they had anise oil on them. I prefer to use Smelly Jelly panfifh formula myself.

Is there a local dealer for Maki ? I checked their web site last year and the shipping charges really added to the cost .

Harry What works ? What I've found with many jigs/lures/plastics is that some are highly praised by people in one geographic area don't work worth a d**n in Lake Champlain. It probably has to do with what type of critters live in your lake. For instance, I've tried Ratso's and Shrimpo's with limited success but other praise them as 'goto' baits. I'd be grateful for tips on what works for sunnies and crappies in northern Champlain. Thanks, gofish

I checked the website, there are a dozen or more different styles. Do you use the Maki or one of the others ? I did check their ordering process and there's free shipping but a $15.00 minimum. I'd like to try them but balk at spending $15 just to try them out.
Chartreuse has been a good color for me with jigs I'd like to try some of them, I'd also take your advice on the 'glow' ones and get some of them too.
