I missed! A Nice Buck at 120-150 yards! Walked through the swamp after work, not even a track. Got up into the hardwoods where I could see the neighbors field and there were three doe out. i watched them for a while and all of a sudden the just ran, not from me. So I stood and watched for a minute and sure enough here comes a small buck, he was a legal deer but nothing I wanted to shoot. Well I decided to play cat and mouse with them and tried to cut them off. Well I did and somewhere along the way they picked up 4 more deer, one being a big 4. Had them at 40 yards but decided to pass again, my father had been hunting so hard I really wanted him to have a wack at one this weekend. So i left them and headed for the truck, getting to be 4:30 now. I look down in the plowed up cornfield and there are some deer. Thought I saw a good one right off but it went behind an island of brush. Snuck across the stone wall and got settle. Watch three doe feed for about 5 minutes and then out of nowhere another deer comes in pushin them around. Put the scope up, Good Buck! I could see three on one side. Well he chased them around a bit and got bored and started to parrel me. He got to what I thought was in range and I let one go. Went over to where we was and it looks like I shot right infront of him. Hopefully he didn't cross the road and he'll be back.
