wey First of all nice set up I’ve got the Yukon TC and love it. I was thinking of add the Jason Mitchell one to my gear this year but wanted to sit in one before first and nobody around here had one. The one thing that might keep me from going with it is the poles. If I understand this correctly, the poles need to be extended out to set it up right? I heard and read that the poles on the Scout TC don’t need to be extended to fish from it so if you wanted to use it as a wind blocker you can without fully opening it. Can you do that with the JM shelter? I’ll probably go with the JM but I still need to actually see and sit in one.

Thanks for the offer wey I'm not getting one this year so I'm sure I'll find one when I'm ready. I don't get up that way much but if I do, I'll be sure to call ya. I'm hoping to make a road trip up that way before ice out just to see some local shops. I've been buying my VT hunting license for 11 or 12 years now and I never buy the fishing My buddy fishes the spring time derby on the lake so with his help, I'm hoping to maybe next year be out there ice fishing.

I had a thermal pro TC last year. I had no complaints with it until I modified it to have a large port side window. This spring I purchased an original replacement tarp. Today I finally had time to replace the ragged one. I have to say, for the type of fishing I do I like the original tarp better. The thermal top increased heat but the pin holes made sight fishing a little more difficult. Look out bluegill!
