I am looking at a new clam one man flip. Specifically the Pro tc. I held off last year because of the horror stories I heard with the tarps falling apart, screws stripping and snapping, and in general how quality control was skipped. I am reading reviews and have one question for the clam users. Hopefully someone has a recent purchase! It seems many more people have had good luck this year (other than the plastic buttons on the poles). Can anyone attest to this for me? Thank you!

Hello Dylan, Excellent question, last year Clam did have a problem with the hardware package it was an error that sneeked by quality control over seas. This will not ever happen again it was a huge headacke last year. Clam went through great measures to make it right with everyone and to also make sure it never happens again!!!
I fish out of a Pro TC and use them in the guide service. Best fish house on the market if you ask me. Hope to see you this winter with a big smile on your face hauling yours.
Tight lines

Yeah Dylan I have one that I have not fished out of yet . The Pro TC That I got from Jamie in the spring , I just took it out and set it up put ski's on it , So I don't have to pull my Nanook TC to fish alone . I usually fish with my girls on the weekend , But come Mondays I usually fish alone unless I can get Scott interested in fishing or Justin to take the day off .

Thanks guys that does help a lot. My only last concern, and I should have asked it initially... What kind of room is there if the seat is in place. Is there room for an gas auger with blade attached and a bucket? Usually I run a Jet sled with a bucket, cooler, buddy heater, and gear. I was thinking I would get the rod locker as well for safer storage.
And Wey, I have mondays off...

Dylan,
I would get rid of my Clam if youre interested in it. It's a Fish Trap Yukon 2 man. Makes a great 1 man if you remove a seat and its light to pull around. just throwing it out there if you're looking to save a buck and have some extra room.
It doesn't have the thermal top though.

I thought about that but I think it is still a bit more weight than I want to lug around. Especially if this winter is anything like last! Also, the less room I have the less extra junk I will bring! I usually need two sleds. Thanks though

I've seen and fished out of a two man so I have a fairly good idea. I was just curious.
As for fishing mid week... I've got till wednesday at 4pm off. Plenty of time!

Just ordered the Pro TC. Got the rod locker and a few hooks to hang stuff. Good timing as there was an offer for free shipping and a 10% discount. NICE!
