Sign up for crazy deals on fishing tackle!
fishitch.com/
What is this?
Fish Itch is a website that raises money for conservation by offering deeply discounted fishing tackle on short-term deals. Sure, we make a few bucks along the way and the companies get some marketing out of it, but if we weren’t doing it for the ‘greater good,’ we wouldn’t be doing it.
How does it work?
Like, what are you supposed to do? You just sign up. Then you’ll get an email once a week that has a great deal in it. If you want the item and it hasn’t sold out yet, you click “buy the deal,” and a few clicks later, it’s yours. We ship it to your doorstep. Plus, you earn Itch Points which you can redeem in “The Hookup,” our online store, for more stuff.
What’s The Hookup?
It’s our online store. Are you reading from the top down? You should.
How can I get more Itch Points?
Ah, that’s a very good question. Glad you asked. We knew we liked you. When you sign up you get some, and when you answer surveys you get more. Buy deals – get more points. Spread the word on a deal – get more points. Win a contest: more points. You get the idea. We try to give you lots of ways to earn points because it’s fun, and we like things that are fun.
Where does the money go?
Well, some of it goes to the brand or the manufacturer – the company who made the item. Some of it goes to Fish Itch to cover our operating costs. The rest gets donated to Recycled Fish, the non-profit organization of anglers living a lifestyle of stewardship both on and off the water, because our lifestyle runs downstream. Learn more about them at www.RecycledFish.org.
Are you guys going to spam my brains out or sell my information?
No way, Jose. Nobody likes that. We hate when someone spams our brains out or sells our information, so we’re not going to do it to you. That would be super farty. Nope. We’re going to send you the deals, and if you want, we’ll send you another email right before a deal runs out. If you buy a deal, 90 days later you’re going to get an email asking if you want more of that item, usually at a special price. Once in a while, we might have some other really good thing going – some sort of a contest or a super-special deal or a holiday greeting or something. So there might be the very occasional special email, but we promise to be sparing with any communication, because we don’t want to make you not like us. We don’t want to be like your crazy aunt who is always sending you stupid forwards that you saw in 2002. And nobody sees your information but us. That goes for the companies we work with, who provide the products. They don’t get your info, either. You should check out our privacy policy. We promise not to be uncool and violate your inbox. Or your trust.
Who is Itch Itchburne?
Itch is a legend. He once caught a marlin off the shore of Florida, reeled it up, leapt onto its back, and rode it to Costa Rica where he spent a wild weekend before swimming home. He is our mascot.
Alright, then who are you guys?
Micah Carrick makes everything run. He’s also the guy who owns and operates GreenTackle.com. Teeg Stouffer works the business and marketing deals. He’s also the guy who started Recycled Fish. Aaron Scott makes it all look good. He’s also a great freelance photographer, designer, artist and writer.
