hasn't been a lot of action on forum lately so I thought I'd see what people are up to. Good fishing is here but it's also coming the time to sling some arrows at bambi's mommy and daddy. What are you all up to. I think i'm fishing this weekend. Carmi has been a lake to figure out for me with the walleye and the crappie. Tried the eyes last weekend with no luck so I think i'm going to get some fatheads and try for the crappie this weekend. We marked a lot of suspended fish when we were up there last time. Check in and lets see what everyone is up to, it's almost ice time!

gearing up for bow season. never seen so many apples . found out from one of the landowners that two bull red deer escaped from the deer farm across town and have taken up residence on his property. I got the green light if the oppurtunity presents it self. Havn't fished in a while now.to busy with work. Heading to Hampton at the end of the month for a cod and pollock run.

Pretty slow summer/fall for me. Glad to see the leaves changing and falling so quickly! Been shooting my bow everyday for about 2 months now. Feels good to be ahead of the game for once! Pics on the trail cams have been pretty steady all summer. A bunch of doe, a handful of shooter bucks, plenty of coyotes, bobcats and bears. Found out I have competition as I've gotten pics of people with stands and cameras walking by. Looks like I won't hold out for the big one too long this year! haha
On a positive note, My second job will be ending mid October then its back to working 2.5 days a week. Five full days on the ice should keep me content!

Here in New York if imported deer escape their compounds you can shoot them anytime on any property you have permssion to hunt on regardless of what the owner says as the owner is no longer in control and New York State does not want them to establish themselves as a separate deer herd competing with our Whitetails.
If the owner still has a say in what happens to the deer once they've escaped isn't he then responsible for any damage they do to other peoples property?
