Hello I'm looking for a beginner # 5 weight Fly rod , I would like to try this .... I really don't want to dump alot of money in it , Thanks any help would be appreciated

I'd invest my time in yard sales and forgetful friends. I have gotten fly rods both ways. I got a decent one at the Waterbury flea market for $5 last year too. Maybe worth a shot. The bass were on this morning and shut off when it got real hot. Landed 42 smallies 1 big largie and 3 pickerel. 21 of the bass were on a purple leech pattern. Biggest on fly was 17" smallmouth

Real nice .... I got into this years ago when I was into Trout fishing and ended up throwing the little Plugs I think they call them or Poppers that is what they are ..... That was fun , I was at Rivers Bend this last Weekend and a guy was fly fishing and kicking my my butt , He was using 3 flies , And he was just roll casting . Man I want to learn so bad

Well I went to Green Mountain Troutfitters on Sunday , after looking at there website , And I was not there long , And then Yesterday My girls and I went to Stowe to www.flyrodshop.com and I walked out of there with a Brand New Fly Rod Set up it was so Nice they were so helpful . They put a Package together for me even though they did not have any. It was awesome . You will never guess who I go see for now on for all my Fly Fishing needs .... |

Good place to do business. Good selection and for the most part knowledgeable. Always gotten good bait in the winter as well!

Yeah they were great people , I think I'm going to try to make it for one of there Free fly rod clinics , Really tough right now Grandson is coming soon

You should have gone 10 min further The Old Fishing Hole in Morrisville has way better prices and a great selection. Better bait also. IMHO
