Im thinking about making the long trip north to try the lake out and was wondering if anyone is fishing and if so do they mind some extra company?

I'm sure if you go to charcoal or the sandbar you'll have plenty of company

I was wondering if the rain would cause some problems up that way. Down here every river is swelling over and the Connecticut is as full as ever. I was thinking maybe just driving up and hitting the culverts, but thats a long drive for bank fishing. Maybe I should wait and see what the rest of the week looks like before making the decision to drive up.

Lot of thunderstorms last night, northern Vt got 2 - 3 inches of rain. Lake Champlain level went up 6 inches today. The Lake is within 6 inches of all-time high. Check out this link waterdata.usgs.gov/vt/nwis/uv?04294500Launching a boat could be challenging with the water that high gofish

I think im going to try and make it up sunday. Might drag a younger brother or two to keep me company on the live drive. First stop sand bar and then we will just keep working our way north. If your in the area give me a call if you want, maybe we can find some active fish.

Thanks gofish and dody, i think the two of you just saved me a 6 hour round trip. Guess my first trip north to fish open water crappie is just going to have to wait a few more weeks.
