Fished Drews for a few hours Sunday morning. No crappie but a bunch of 7-8" gils. Snow and slush werent to bad on the ice with maybe 12" max of snow cover and 3" max of slush, until you drilled a hole then you had 5" of water around the hole. Hopefully with these warm days and cold nights down this way the snow will drop and freeze over.

They are starting to turn but they are just as thick as ever. I need to remember the s cable for the vexilar next time, the display was all red on the lowest setting most of the time. I probably could have got some better fish and maybe a crappie or two but I ran out of spikes and its hard as hell to keep jumping from hole to hole in that snow/slush. Might try it again this week for some night fishing.

Its the only place close to home that I have caught crappie so its more or less my only option to try and catch one or two. Thinking a trip down south might be order soon, I'm starting to forget what they look like.
