is it worth a night fishing trip for crapps? i work every week end and 2 days isnt enough time for me to be out and about so i figured an option was night fishing for Crappie...any thoughts??
i remember an old book i had once that showed 2 guys sitting inside a shanty with a lantern set in a partially drilled hole....

night fishing can pay off, a lot depends on the body of water, so example, shelburne pond was pretty much a night crappy bite. Deep water fish seem to be easy to target at night as well since darkness does make running from hole to hole a little tricky.

thanks for the input. hmm. do you think they are in the deep water, in shallow, just under the ice crusiing? i was under the assumption that they are attrached to the light...
I will probably just end up going and seeing what happens. sucks I am afraid of the dark though.

Got a late start and fished from about 6 til about 8. Bite was tough but managed 7 keepers and threw a few back down the hole. Keepers were from 9-11 inches,no slabs but a fun and quick trip. Marked a lot of fish but couldn't get them to hit.
Glow genz bug,bro bug and forage minnow all got fish. Lake was making lots of noise and it was a tit bit nipply brrrr
