I filled my buck tag on Monday. Happy to have some meat in the freezer!

Good going Dylan. Nice looking Vt buck and a great picture. I filled my tag on a small 7 point here in the Islands and also came home from Ontario with a small 9 point. Time to get the ice gear out and just have to get through the smoke pole season then it is off to the races. Come on cold weather.

Nice! Won't be long. I was on 3" yesterday. Going to make a real attempt Sunday I think.

Wow you have more courage than I do. Must have been on an oxbow or setback off the river either that or a mountain pond. Some skim ice here in the islands but nothing I would walk on. Pretty good time to remind everyone to watch out, keep a set of spikes around the neck and look into a floating ice fishing suit. There are a couple of manufacturers that put out a pretty good product and in my case my suit costs about what my old Cabelas down coat and gore-tex bibs cost. This will be my 4th year with mine and when it wears out I’ll get another suit. Something like that can make the difference although experience and good common sense goes further.

Yeah I got one of the new Lift suits from Clam. You can never be too cautious. There are a few people out on the ice around here today. It's killing me to be at work!
