I got my first sunburn of the year and caught my first fallfish through the ice. Sweet!

Looks like a sucker. Are they native or an invasive species ? Are they good to eat ?

Dave,
They aren't invasive. They are part of the chub family. They are widely spread throughout the state in many streams and lakes. I've never eaten one but I'm sure people have!

It's rudd and they are like a big golden shiner but they have blood red fins and a scaled belly (shiners don't). They are highly invasive fish and stinky!

Caught 2 rudd today on Dillenbeck. Pretty fish but not near as nice as what I was after.
