I fish about every day somewhere in the Islands. The last 2 days were at the Sandbar catching flats. Tomorrow I have to run into town but might fish if the wind isn't up like it is supposed to. I'll probably switch gears and fish perch which is easier in the wind.

Fished Carmi today. Pretty frustrating until I broke some Maki's. Caught some real nice ones.ended up with a couple dozen. All my fish were caught on plastic and ya had to really tease em and then it was tough. White jamiie on a northland sumthin or other. Spikes were a waste of time. The fish would charge right up and slowly back away.

Bobby and I both fished today. He went after panfish and I went after perch. He caught a bunch of crappie and some hog perch and I ended up catching rainbows. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbrFTILPkpA

That's more like it, thought you had all died or something....except for D&B , I get their Blog fed directly to my email so can read at work while I'm having morning coffee.
I have next week off, plan to try some different places for crappie, and maybe some of the old places in champlain too.
See you on Sat at the Tourney

School was cancelled for me yesterday due to the fact that most of Barre was without power, make a quick run to the river. Jumbo's are in setting up for pre spawn and the middle channel was full of crappie. Probably caught close to 100 all in the 10" range.

I only get out on the weekends, mostly saturdays, but took vacation for the next 3 Fridays so off to cowbanks tomorrow in search of white perch. Last Friday/Saturday up in the St.A area and the yellows are all dinky near Hathaway Point. slow bite too Saturday before that caught some dink yellows, bite turned off and wound up catching more pike on perch jigs than perch...landed one on 4# that was 22", lost another pulling it thru the hole that looked like 26" and had a monster in the 40" range show up and played with the biggest streamer I had in my tackle possession that day...I put the biggest minnoe from the bucket on the streamer and that pike just nosed it several times then drifted off just before sunset. All the pike totally scared off any chance of perch at sundown. That big pike was neat to see on my new flasher and was cool to look at down the hole too. BTW, those that are fishing sandbar for "flats", just what are "flats" gills/seeds?
