My propane catalytic heater wouldn't light/heat yesterday. Checked the Coleman website and found " Propane offers great overall reliability, but be aware that it operates less effectively at subfreezing temperatures than liquid fuels. Cold will cause a pressure drop in the cylinder and output will diminish as a result. "
No kidding ! Now I need to find a heater that runs on the old Coleman White gas.

was it one of the small 1 pd canisters ? they tend to freeze up because of such a low draw rate in the cold weather...

Yeah, it was a 1 lb propane on a Coleman Catalytic heater, didn't work worth a damn. I'm carrying my Coleman GAS lantern next time I'm fishing on a cold day.

Thanks for the link Wey, I think 10,000 btu is a bit much for a one-man shanty. May be okay if I turn it down low..... or come up with a vented cover to help manage the heat.
I'll have to stop in at WallyMart and take a look at it.

Guys, be careful in a shanty, I believe that heater is not a vent free type and is for outdoor use only.

Wey,
Absolutely , Positively do NOT (repeat do NOT) use the Coleman gas stove in an enclosed space, Car, tent, house, etc. It doesn't mention fishing shanty but I expect that fits in the 'etc'
There's lot's of warnings in the manual, and there's a waterproof DANGER tag chained to the stove, saying DO NOT use the stove in an enclosed space. (I think they really mean it)
Now I need to find someone who likes camping and needs a campstove for cooking outdoors.
