I wanted to say that the New Beginners or someone that wants to learn the art of Panfishing , Don't be afraid to ask one of us , Not Like I can teach you or learn everything there is to know , But I can also remember how hard it was at first ... Still have those days , But if you want to come out and Try it by all means shoot me a email and when we get Ice , I would be very happy to take you out and I will supply the Clam Shanty ,StrikeMaster Auger,Riversider,Bait ,Vexilar FL-22 HD Just have to meet me there if the Ice is thick enough even a ride out there on the Wheeler . Or if you just want to ask Questions if I don't know it I will find out for you . Thanks for reading my post Happy 2011 and 2012 Fishing Season .....

hey guys, what type of jig should i use (crappie and blue gills)? where can i get them? is there a link? local bait shop? thanks for your time and advice...

oh man so many options, Katy jigs are great to start, they make a soldered tear drop and willow style, my favorite is a orange and chartreuse tear drop, lots of colors to work with there as well.

Sorry about the delay getting back to you , Yes Caty jigs are real good , The Fire tiger is my Favorite , Genz Bugs are good too , Also they have the Mousie Jig I stick with Size 12 and 10 . There are many colors and style to pick from Dockside Outdoors has most of these that is off Route 2 on Raymond road Stop and Say Hi to Big Ben his phone # is 891-6158

Wey is right, get yourself some horizontal jigs and don't forget to get yourself some Maki Plastics!

Another thing to consider... Where do you fish? There is a ban on lead on the Connecticut River so chose your jigs wisely if you ever head there. There are still plenty of options for both vertical and horizontal jigs besides lead. One of my favorite lead horizontals is the diamond jig by CJ&S though.

Your welcome I also would reccomend a ultra light pole and reel and 3 or 4 lb test Dockside has some Riversider poles and he had micro ice reels and some Bionic Ice 3 lb test line really can set you up tell him Wey sent you. If you need help let me know be more then happy to help you
