Went to Carry Bay this morning looking for some bluegills . When I arrived, there were two guys heading out to fish pike. That was it, just me and two pike fisherman on the whole bay !! Not another fisherman to be seen. It didn't take long to figure out why, there weren't any fish in that bay. I did manage to catch a few small bluegills and one bass.
When I drove by Dillenbeck on my way home, it wasn't busy either.
WHere's all the fish ??

Dave did you look at last years journal to see what you were doing then? Where you were and what you caught. Just a thought.

Good idea. I checked my journal, on 1/29/2012 I caught 30lbs of sunnies and 4 crappie.
But last year, I was fishing on Jan 1, and this year ...well this is the first REAL ice I've been on. It feels like I'm starting a month late and wonder if the fish are behind schedule too.
It's clear from the lack of fishermen on Carry and Dillen, that nobody is expecting to catch fish in either bay.
OBTW: The 'Hot Bait' for the fish I caught was Pink Maki .
