Please share any ice reports you have. This snow isn't helping so lets hope it blows off.

Talked with Steve at the bait shop in St Albans Bay. He had a customer come down from Carmi to BUY fish. Apparently , there was 2 inches of ice before the storm and now it's covered with 16 inches of snow. We'll need a big thaw to get rid of the snow and start over making ice.

took a drive around some of the regualr fishing spots here in the northern islands today. yes, theres still ice in dillenbeck, there was even a few brave souls out on the ice, but i would not reccemend it. not sure how much ice there is but i know its real thin every wheres as it froze just a nite before the snow, and is now buried in slush, the parking lot there has not been plowed. carry bay has a few fisherman as well on it, and near the bridge to isle lamotte there are some fishermen on the ice. in my opinion, the ice is not safe yet, and guys are really pushing it.

I went out for a couple of hours yesterday late morning on Dillenback and there was 3" of ice in most places. I walked out a little ways beyond the tip up guys and tested every couple of steps with a spud bar. In a few spots the bar went through with 1 shot so that ice isn't uniform. I only caught a few small perch and no flat fish. I talked with a couple of people who tried birdland and they didn't do well either. I heard a rumor somebody went through at dback on a snow machine and had to be pulled out but not sure if that is real or not. Got a family party today and will be out somewhere tomorrow.

Good ice in the north end of the bay near the Alburgh CC. Slow perch bite but there were some good ones. A guy got on yesterday on the ILM side with his ATV and was pulling a pop up shanty. Didn't get too far and went down in what I have been told was 10' of water. It looked like they got it out today. 3" of ice is Ok to walk on but not for a wheeler.

Most of the setback on the Conn. River are iced up. Conditions vary from 2 inches of black ice with a foot of snow and slush to 4-6 inches of crap ice with now snow.
