I checked a few set backs on the river this weekend and it's looking good for next weekend. Hopefully the weather we're having now doesn't hurt the integrity of the ice. Lets keep out fingers crossed. Any one else been doing any ice scouting?

Ice took a pounding on the way to work this morning. I'll be interested to get home and see what my pond looks like.

Some bays partially skimmed over up in the islands. A couple of cold windless nights will allow me to be on the ice somewhere up here on the 27th which will be the first day I am able to fish due to family commitments.

Good dump of snow and that will prevent me from trying a few spots today at least. I went to town yesterday and a guy had a few tipups set on the south side of the sandbar. Looked like some thin ice but it was shallow. Not sure if he caught anything. I should have stopped.

Very cool! We have about 6" in Barre right now. I hope we don't get the full dose but I guess it is what it is. Stay safe everyone!
