I told My wife if she don't buy me an ice auger for Christmas don't buy me anything she said OK so now I want feed back on what auger to get! I like pan fishing but I also like to fish for northern pike so I need one that can do both I also have an auger sidekick so weight is not a problem Thanks

I've run a few different brands on the ice and the strike masters as Scott said are nice. I personally have a jiffy and its been good to me even with many giving them bad reviews lately. If I wished, I could buy a new bit (140ish although some come as a package deal) and it has a quick connect which swaps out in about 2 seconds. I actually take it apart every trip. Very versatile for panfish and bigger fish.

I would have to agree with Scott Strike Lite by Strikemaster They have a New Honda Motor on them this year , And whats nice about the New Honda is that you can lay it down anyway you want it has a bladder in there to keep the oil where it belongs , With Mine I have to lay it down a certain way buts its no big deal it purrs like a kitten and cuts like a Bear ..... I love my 4 stroke

I jusr read the specs on the honda motor for the strike lite and I think im sold!!!

Nice Eric I even really like mine with the Robinson motor has plenty of power starts great nice and quiet no gas mixing ..Hope you get one
