I'm looking for some Pencil Floats (slip kind, not spring) . I'm having a hard time finding them locally, don't want to spend $6 on shipping from Bass Pro shops for something that weighs less than an ounce. I have a couple Eagle Claw floats but they are kinda short, would rather have some about 5 inches long.

I think I remember seeing some in Ray's last time I was there.

K-Mart came thru.... I bought 4 Thill Pencil slip floats for 87 cents each and 2 Thill Teardrop floats for $1.79 each. All are Balsa wood floats. That's less than $7 for six Thill floats. They have quite a selection , both slip and spring type.

I usually use just the glo bob foam type with the metal plug. I get a couple of bags of them and they last all year which is good since i fish almost every day. A pencil type does give better action if you are going for crappie though. Most of my fishing is focused on seeds and gills though and the glo bobs are more than easy to use and last pretty well.
