Most of that pan fishing has been cut back due to low temps. I had crappie limits 3 out of 4 days in a row last week with water in the 59 - 63 degree range. I went back yesterday and the temp was 46 and it actually got colder as I went further into the setback. The only fish that were biting were a couple small gills and some dink perch. i tried 2 other places that were similar and all had conditions like 3 weeks ago. Cold with no bait moving in the shallows or even turtles showing themselves. We need some sun and no wind with warm days.

I tried BB this past Friday & Saturday and only managed 1 seed & 2 white's Went to Mill River last night and only the smallest of the seeds were biting. We really do need sun and warmer temps to bring them back to life

Yeah... Tried today and only got a small perch, went to the river for 1.5 hours and caught enough bullhead for dinner.

New sign on Black Bridge, "No fishing ON the bridge" . Very official looking sign, like other road signs put up by the state.
I think 'ON' is the key word here, traffic and pedestrians on the bridge don't mix well.

I figured something like that would happen. I was there a couple of weeks ago and people were all over the bridge and it took a traffic cop to keep the road clear. People were parking all along the road and hanging out into the traveled lanes. What a zoo. On another note I took the boat to Alburgh this morning and tried a couple of backwater set backs as well as a popular flat fish bay and only caught small perch. The water temps in the set backs were almost the same as the lake which was 44.6 where I was. We need quite a few days of strong warm sun to get the water back to the high 50's and low 60's that brought the last great bite.

Well it was only a matter of time. So many ignorant people with their loud mouths, crude language and the amount of trash they leave behind has caused this. There were rumors over 2 years ago that the town was going to do this because of the amount of garbage several people were leaving on the bridge. Not to mention the guy that owns the land on one side of the bridge is at his wits end with the amount of people who disregard his property and trash his land and then have the gall to bitch about how he is mean or whatever because he tells them "no trespass" I suppose this means that it will get even more crowded under the bridge when the bite is on... On a lighter note, I went fishing for panfish today and wound up catching a very nice 19" rainbow/steelhead that was a wild one as it didn't have any of the usual fin ID that the stocked ones have. Even had the start of a small kype. What a fight he put up.

Well it was only a matter of time. So many ignorant people with their loud mouths, crude language and the amount of trash they leave behind has caused this. I hear you on this one. It seems the same no matter where you go. Really bad language right in front of the kids and trash left behind. A couple of years ago I was fishing Charcoal at the tube off Rt 78 and was really shocked at the trash that was there. I always keep a bag or two in the truck and before I left I filled 2 large green bags with beer and soda cans, worm containers, propane pound cannisters and all sorts of other trash associated with people fishing. I went back 2 days later and it was all right back there. A couple of weeks ago i was fishing by boat in a small setback in Alburgh that is all private shore. I saw a group of people come in one van drive up and go right off a private dock and start the usual trash talk. The parents were F-ing this and that and the kids were giving it right back. Real low lifes and when a neighbor came over to kick them out they refused to leave saying that if it wasn't his dock then it was none of their business. When they left the pop bottles and chip bags were left behind. I saw the neighbor come over and clean it up after the fact.
