Does anybody know if the crappie/gills are in mud creek, alburgh vt, yet? I fished there yesterday with only a few bites... Just wondering...
Catch em all!

Seems like the fish have moved in up and down the lake I would say so!

Large yellow perch and gills are being caught at the sandbar. Saw one lone crappie caught tonite right at dusk.

Are you talking about the culvert at the sandbar, or in the lake?

I tried Mud Creek today and only caught a few flats in the creek including one short crappie but did get a few large perch in the delta. Probably will try again tomorrow for the perch because the water temp is almost right according to my records on last year.

What was the water temp at? I can never seem to remember to bring my thermometer and I don't have any electronics on my boat when I do use it. I have been catching more perch than anything lately in the shallow water on the Connecticut but haven't been out since Saturday. Maybe this weekend will yield some flat fish!

I have a new fish finder with temp on the boat and it was the first time I used it so it wasn't calibrated. I got a reading of 44.9 but after I got home I compared it to the known outside temp and it was reading about 3 degrees high. I calibrated and think the temp was around 42 which is close to the 45 + target to bring the perch onto the delta. Still too cold in the creek which was around 46. There was some bait in the creek which is different from when I was in there last week.

I've fished mud many times and never had much luck. Someday i'm going to put the boat in at DB and fish from the mouth up, thanks for the report!

Went back today and it got crowded at the pinch point so I tried another set back a few miles south and caught some flats but the bite was slow. No crappie and the seeds weren't all that good either. I got 50 degrees in the creek today though.

got into a few in St. Albans bay this afternoon, even managed a couple of master angler qualifiers. got two 9" seeds & one 9" gill in the mix. Several white perch too in the 10-11" range. I'd post the pic, but the thing won't upload for some reason.

Nice fish. I haven't caught any seeds that big since hard ice.
