So far this winter has spoiled us with some great conditions for walking with our gear! I know that some of you guys and gals have access to wheelers and sleds or have the kahones to drive your rigs out there... but not me! The thought of getting even just a measly 1-3" of precipitation tonight makes me dread tugging my weighted down sled out! I may have to ditch the boulder of a jiffy I own and look into those space age tree tappers with a synthetic bit you guys are sporting! I guess either way it will beat last years trips of trudging through a foot of slush covered with a foot of snow in snowshoes!

You could shed half the weight of the Jiffy - my Echo Tree-tapper and Finbore auger weigh in at 16 lbs.

But I like the idea. And I guess no matter what I do my stuff always smells fishy. I have melted plenty of ice off my gloves down into the heaters.. |
