I have been helping a friend set up his maple operation the last few days. with a total of 12000 or so so trees tapped we have seen sap running the past few days. Today we boiled what we had and ended up with about 100 gallons of syrup. Just seems odd to be making maple syrup in the first week of February.

We made 50 gallons last year with our 200 taps. Would have boiled more but we ran out of wood!
