So I have done some driving the past two days and have ice reports from Drews to Hinsdale.
Drews: 10-12" of white ice with 10-12" of black ice. getting on and off easy for now. Water clarity 5-6'
Hoyts: 6-7" of white ice with 15-16" of black ice. Getting on and off bring waders. There was about 8" of water for 20' or so when i was there Monday. Water clarity 4-5'
Hinsdale: North Side 2-3" of white ice with 16-18" of black ice. getting on and off easy for now. Water clarity 4-5'
South Side 2-3" of white ice with 16-18" of black ice. getting on and off easy for now. Marsh area to the east starting to breakup. Water clarity 4-5'
Fished Drews on Sunday. My younger brother (One of the two that fished the Larabees Derby) got his first crappie Maybe 6". Some nice gils and seeds, and a few bass.
