tons of good ice on the river, no snow, 7 inches of awesome solid black ice. 1st spot didn't produce any crappie just jumbo perch and gig gills, not 20 jumbos in an hour and a half.
I had a half hour this afternoon between gigs so i ran up river to a spot i have, went through twice on the edge but it was worth it
This gill is almost as big as the one i got last year, close
and of course I found what I was looking for. No giants, 4 crappie that were 10-11 inches, 23 gills that were this size, this was all in a half hour from falling through getting on, to falling through getting off, oh well, only up to my knees.
