I've got Stabilicers but they're heavy and ice up more than I'd like. I'm looking for something lighter, and not Yaxtrax .

Had some YakTrax, the rubber split after one season. And they came off easily if you have to hike thru a snowdrift..and you end up on your butt when you get to clear ice.

Kahtoola micro spikes. A bit pricey but when you need the best they are worth it. At my age a slip and fall on the ice wouldn't be a good thing. I got mine at EMS on Dorset Street. Best creepers I ever used. Quite a few of the heavy commercial sunny guys (Burlington crew) use them too.
